Mike Cameron of Grow Agriculture Media Receives Professional Recognition Award

Gulfport, MS – July 29, 2025: Mike Cameron, Owner of Grow Ag Media LLC and National Pesticide Safety Education Center Videographer, was presented with the Professional Recognition Award at the 2025 National Conference of the American Association of Pesticide Safety Educators (AAPSE) in Gulfport, Mississippi on July 29, 2025. The AAPSE Professional Recognition Award acknowledges members who have enhanced public health and the environment through their efforts in pesticide safety education or application certification. Mike Cameron was instrumental in creating two videos and, in turn, developing two interactive training modules in four different languages to address the importance of proper pesticide use in beehives when managing beehive pests. The content of one interactive training module was created to address the proper use of pesticides and legal pest control options for beekeepers, and the other module was developed as a guide for use by pesticide inspectors regarding the inspection techniques used to properly investigate bee kills.

AAPSE is a nationally recognized organization dedicated to enhancing public health and the environment through involvement in education, outreach, and research which directly benefits pest managers, policy makers, and the public. Its members work in land-grant university cooperative extension services; industry; and tribal, state, trust, territory, and federal agencies across the nation and internationally.
